i dreamt of that bad old man vincent who always suarn me!! no lar!! just kidding~
i was dreaming myself in japan and the evil spirits within. how people deal in business and involving spirits, human sacrifice, rituals, trading of souls and other stuffs in it... didn't find it pleasant.. and the background music still playing around my head after i woke up with a start. its a eerie clown circus music.. i guess you guys should know how it sounds... don't ask me how it sounds. eeks~ its was an hour nap and i had to dream of those? gruelsome. worse thing is, i haven't been watching an movie or tv and reading up any particulars or things... i thought it was due to hardcore gaming but i realised that there is nothing in relation of. i decided to pray. i told God, "Lord, i finally sense the spiritual darkness that is bonding that country. i've decided to do something.. not to fight with it, but to bring people out of darkness and to His glory and light. Lord, please let me know, if that is a calling that You're telling me..." and while typing this, i realised that i did watch a news on aichi expo and there was the emperor and the prime minister.
somehow, after i woke up, my burden for Japan grew... this year, i was too confident about preparation and forgot to guard myself against the evil ones. i walked to the room and decided to flip to the bible for comfort to my fears... maybe i've overtire myself too much..

a verse that i've hold on so closely for a past few years yet recently, i totally forgot this assurance. i decided to really, place all my fears unto Him and really rely solely entirely on Him.

Wa...this week so sianz man...busy preparing tests & all...seldom go online nowadays. I'm so glad its Good Friday tomorrow!
Hmmm..actually I'm really not the blogger type of person (like Andy perhaps?) cos I feel that there are so many things you can't write on the blog, like for eg, I can't stand Serene or buey tahan San san...can't possibly write on the blog let them read right? HAHAHAHA...okay I'm KIDDING if you haven't realised...
Anyway, today's test didn't go too well la...didn't finish my paper & got a handful of questions wrong. Sigh..You know, the feeling of leaving a test venue knowing that you didn't do well isn't a good feeling, I'm sure you all understand what that feels like la..heh...Was feeling quite sian the whole day la, but now abit better liao.:) At least can smile & laugh with my sister just now.
How I wish I could have a videocam that's on recording mode every second...I wanna record those moments when I ka jiao my dad's face, when I mess with my sister's hair...I love my family man...:) Walking & laughing with them makes me realise that life as a student really isn't just about studying, but its about relationships & family & love...I'm so glad I've such a caring & loving family that's so fun & funny...:)
Ok...I can just go on & on. Those from NUS would know that this week was harvest week. Last night I was sharing the gospel on campus during DG, and the people we approached were the normal "no time", "can't talk", "not interested" kind of people..so kinda boring. But the last one I shared with was WAH PIANG man~~~!!!
He's a part-time salesman, very talkative. When I wanted to share the 4SL with him, he snatched my book away & said I wasn't sincere. He said "You must share from your heart!!" So I tried reciting the main points of the 4SL from memory. Then he said "Wah lau!! You very lousy leh!!! Don't even know your product!!! Your God sure punish you one!! You're supposed to remember everything about your product!! How do you expect to convince me like that???" (I repeat, he's a part time salesman). He gave me comments like "Why you sound so not confident now?? Just now when you introduced yourself initially sound so confident..where's your confidence now??? You must be confident when introducing your product!!!" / "Your presentation skills very lousy leh!!! Like that how to convince me to believe you??" / "(He looked at the other filled up survey forms that I had and said) Tsk tsk tsk...so lousy!! All reply no no no...if it was me they sure say yes one!!!"
Haha...had a hard time trying to capture his attention to listen to me. He frequently gets out of point telling me about his MLM (Multi level Marketing) & all...Dunno whether to feel discouraged or encouraged man..on one hand, I really think he's just trying to play a fool with me. On the other hand, its quite nice talking to him; afterall, this isn't the normal 4SL repsonses I will get from normal people. I spent about an hour talking to him & ended up inviting him for my church service on Friday morning. He still haven't gave me an answer yet.
Even though he didn't sound serious almost the whole one hour when I talked to him, I really pray that what I spoke did hit a chord in his heart. Even though he never receive Christ on the spot, I really pray that this is a seed sown on fertile soil, for someone else (or me?) to reap in the harvest when he's ready. Even though he keeps laughing & criticizing my lack of professionalism & presentation, I pray that my half-past-six gospel presentation will bring him a step closer to making a decision for Christ.
It wasn't all discouragements la actually...He did say that he was quite impressed with my persistence ('cos I kept trying to bring him back to the point) & he commented "Wah lau...you all really good ah...this thing won't earn you anything one you all also can sit here so long to talk about it." I treat that as a compliement rather than mockery la.:) Indeed, sharing the gospel won't earn us salvation or earn us $$$; but its Christ's love that compels us. That's why Paul can say "Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!" I always remember something that one person (a Christian) told me "If you know the cure for AIDS, why won't you tell others about it?" In the same way, I've found the cure for death! & what I can do for my friends & loved ones, and for God, is to share it! As long as God is pleased, it doesn't matter even if people aren't serious or make fun of me. My purpose is ultimately to please God.:)
Wa...that's quite a long sharing. Hmmm...I still have 2 + 1 PROJECTS (the plus 1 is the Gen12:2 support raising project) due in the beginning of April & I've BARELY STARTED! Wah piang..please pray for me that I'll have the strength, time management & wisdom to meet the deadlines. & pray for a constant dependance on God to accomplish all that I need to finish.

hello hello...
Hmmm.. why stay away from me.. don' t want la... haha.. anyway... i'm having flu again.. i'm like falling sick every other day. My nose is running agian and i just recovered from diarrhoea. .ARgh.....Sigh... okok.. my mucus coming out again.. haha..i know i know i'm gross but i'm feeling horrible.. =(
Anyway.. So happy!!! Andy is joining us!! Our God is really a miracle maker! I'm so amazed and i can't help it but keep sharing with my friends around me. It's really a great testimony to share....
Well.. somehow i can't seem to view our blog. i can only read the entries through the place where we edit our posts.. sad huh... don't know what's wrong leh.. everytime when i try, the webpage will hang... can someone help me??
School work is really getting on my nerves.. i just can't seem to see the big picture behind studying.. Guess if you guys have read my blog, you'll understand what i'm saying... I've been consistently praying to God, but somehow... i don't seem to get any answer from Him...
Alright, i have to go back to work again... let's keep each other updated yah....and let's not stop praying for each other and also NAGOYA!!!

Well, just want to share my joy with you all..I went for the Adidas warehouse sale at Expo hall 4 today!!! I bought lots of stuffs!!! 3 pairs of shoes, a bag, a pair of shorts & socks!!!! Wahahahahaha!!! YEAH!!! Finally got nice shoes, & finally I can START my running regime again!!! Yoohoo!!!~~~

Well, i don't know why i'm roped in to cook tomorrow.. cos maybe i've got nothing to do at all.. well, i don't know what bixia wants to cook, but the current menu is japanese curry chicken rice and okunomiyaki~ its the japanese pancake with vegetables in it.. recently, i was trying to find food in kitchen and i found the flour i bought from daiso.. i assumed its okunomiyaki's flour so i happily bought them and decided to use it.. and i do.. i remembered yoshi, from japan, once showed me how to cook that.. so i decided to toss and flip.. and you know what!! i did it with my first try!! *laughs* ... i was so happy!! anyway, i'm gonna do this stunt again tomorrow.. yay!! for those who wants to see, please come early to help or just see see also can... and best if you could learn how to toss and flip so that i won't always be the one doing it.. vincent ahh!! you said you can cook~ so the more you should come and practise toss and flip... come early!!
anyway, i went for a job interview at a physio clinic located at tras street... don't know how to get there.. took a cab.. i'm utterly broke now~ totally... well, somehow, i had this 'pressure' inside me which i got from my cousin.. he found this 'lobang' for me and somehow, he stick out his neck for me in this one.. because of this, he kept breathing down my neck and somehow, i got pretty fed up and stressed, way even before that man called me... i went there, prayed to God, "God, i hope i can last for 2 months... whether its my will to work there, You'll decide.." so, actually, deep inside me, i was hoping he won't hire me.. that man asked me what i have been doing.. and i told him.. "nothing" and i told him i'm going to this mission trip and he asked whether i could not go for it.. i said no and told him that this is very important to me.. and left the place thinking.. "how?!!" will He send me an answer? or a comfort at least? then, i took a long way home buying some ingredients for tomorrow's meeting and on the last bus home, i saw my secondary school teacher who was np crusade.. i talked to him awhile and he told me he went for missions last year and end up coming back with a great experience.. hearing from him, talking to a christian brother, i felt snapped back to reality. yes, i decided, "this is important to me.." therefore, i thank God for sending people to test me and my faith... i thank God that i'm not changed because of circumstances and i changed because i want to follow Him.. this is what i committed myself 10 months ago after i came back from nagoya.. thank you Jesus! i'm loving You more and more!!
yar.. one last thing.. ANDY!! yar.. i guess this is already the first test of faith we're all facing ler.. its always FAITH and putting our faith in Jesus and trusting Jesus to work with our faith.. let us also unite together as a team in prayer and in faith that the Lord will clear all the obstacles Andy is facing right now... ANDY will go Nagoya... i believe!! so, minasan, gambatte kudasai ne~

just want to share something that came to my mind when i was doing qt this morning. I was reading from the Bible, the Book of Jude. [yes, i know the book sounds so obscure. haha..]
Jude 1:20-25 says "But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear- hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy - to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen."
i was reading this when I thought about this mission trip that we'll be embarking on this May-June. Between leaving in May and now, it is such an essential time for us to be building ourselves up in Faith and to keep praying in the Holy Spirit - not just to be interceding for the land but also to be guarding ourselves [heart,soul,body,mind] jealously for God. And even as we go forth in May to be "snatching others from the fire", let us remember that it is only our powerful God who is able to keep us from falling and that all salvations come from Him.

Okie..heh. In case all your impression of me go down the drain (my mind isn't just all about FOOD), let me share some SPIRITUAL stuffs k? I was praying with some of my church mates before service today, & it was so good!!! The presence of God was in the house man!! I enjoy praying with them 'cos all of them are very passionate. Hehe.. Well, some verses were shared during prayer & I just wanna share them with you all..:)
Isaiah 62
(v. 6-7): "I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem & makes her the praise of the earth."
(v. 10): "Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations."
Isaiah 26:15
"You have enlarged the nation, O Lord; you have enlarged the nation. You have gained glory for yourself: you have extended all the borders of the land."
I think, as our team embarks on this faith journey to Nagoya for this trip, we've in a way "enlisted" ourselves in the Lord's service as watchmen on the walls of Nagoya. Let's be like the watchmen in Isaiah 62, standing in the gap between the living & the dead (like Aaron), to give ourselves no rest as we pray & "prepare a highway" for the people in Nagoya to come to know the Lord! Then the Lord will surely enlarge His kingdom & extend his borders to include in city of Nagoya! Let's stake out Nagoya for God!:)
Heh..dunno if you understand what I'm sharing...Okay la, hope you are all encouraged.:) Let's enforce the victory of Jesus on the land of Nagoya!
Oh ya...San ah, actually I don't really like the new colour of the blog leh...prefer the old one. Heee...*conflict resolution* Prefer matt matt colours. But of course, you can't please everyone, so up to you la..:)

i'm in part testing our new team blog and in part testing this Flickr.com thing. haha...
i took this when i was travelling down from Tokyo to Kyoto last year. i hope we get to see skies that are just as beautiful this year in Nagoya. and that from now till the trip and till beyond the trip, we'll always be reminded of the God of wonders who formed the skies and formed us all; and that we'll always be in awe of Him! =)

Anyway, I was just thinking through...I feel that I'm looking forward more towards the fellowship that I'll have with you all in Nagoya more than the part about serving God by spreading the gospel lehhh...you all know what I mean? Do you all feel the same way? Hmm...I guess this is also only the beginning stage ba..I believe God'll work in my heart also la, as we start to seriously prepare for this mission trip!! Actually, its really exciting & I'm really excited!! Wanna see what it's like to witness in another land...many of my friends who've went to Japan for mission trip before told me its so so so good!!! Excited man...:)
